Know about North Sentinel Island 2019 | updates | every thing about North Sentinel Island

North Sentinel Island is the most isolated island on the earth and for the reason. The tribe that lives on North Sentinel Island will kill anyone who tries to set foot on their island. This island is covered with thick vegetation. And about 40 km from port Blair.

In the Bay of Bengal, there is a remote island called North Sentinel Island it's illegal to go to North Sentinel Island because the tribe there is protected by Indian law.
It's believe that this tribe has lived in isolation on this island for 10 thousands of years, and they are one of the last group of people that have not been disturbed by civilisation. And want to be left alone by the outside world.

This island is there only world, they have here for more than 60,000 years. There is apparently about 150 of them and they really really want to be left alone.
They are believed to be descendants of people who migrate out of Africa thousands of years ago.
The tribe isn't only protected because they want to be left alone, it's also because if they come into contact with people from the outside world they could get diseases that they are not immune to.

Back In 2006, two local fishermen were killed when they tried to illegally fish near the island, and there boat accidentally go too close to the island shore.
After the 2004 tsunami, the tribe shoot arrows at a helicopter that was sent to check on them to make sure they were OK.
In fact, the north Sentinelese are probably terrified of any and all outsiders and that's because of British.

Back in 1800s the British come into contact with the tribe for the first time and they British will let's just say that there used to be a lot more tribes people. Only a fractional of the original population lives there now.
I would imagine that stories about the all outsiders who murdered all there ancestors are told among the people left, so they treat any all outsiders as a threat.

In the 1980s and 90s there were some friendly trips made by anthropologists where they left gifts for the tribe, but since 1998s any and all contact has stopped.
Sp, for the safety of the tribe and the people on the island, no one is allowed to go within 5 nautical miles of North Sentinel.

John Allen Chau

But the John Allen Chau unfortunately ignored all of this, Chau had heard about the tribe and wanted to convert them to Christianity. According to the Notes in his diary, he knew that it was illegal to go to the island.

27 years old John Allen Chau was a christian evangelist who had travelled to North Sentinel Island.
He's usually taken there by fishermen and he uses a cone to get closer to the shore.
For the record, John genuinely wanted to get to know the north Sentinelese.
The 17th and the last time on November 16th. This time he want to go by himself according to the report from fishermen, John is believes to have been killed by the tribe.

Many officials were beginning to question the wisdom of attempting to contact a people who were healthy and content and who had tried on their own for thousands of years.
It will vital that there wish to remain unconnected is respected.
